Neksium D Capsule is an anti-reflux medication used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). GERD is caused by acid reflux, which leads to burning pain or discomfort in the chest. This medication contains domperidone and esomeprazole. It works by reducing the production of stomach acid and increasing the motility of the stomach and intestines, thus preventing acid from flowing back into the esophagus. Neksium D Capsule should be taken at least one hour before meals, as directed by your doctor. While using this medication, avoid foods that may increase acidity, do not lie down immediately after meals, and make sure your last meal is at least two hours before bedtime. The most common side effects include diarrhea, flatulence, stomach pain, dry mouth, and headaches. These side effects are typically temporary and usually resolve on their own over time.
