About Nicoduce 5 Tablet
Nicoduce 5 Tablet is used to treat angina pectoris (heart-related chest pain) in adults who cannot take beta-blockers (blood pressure-lowering pills). Angina pectoris is a kind of chest pain due to decreased blood flow to the heart. It is a symptom of coronary artery disease.
Nicoduce 5 Tablet contains Nicorandil, that opens potassium channels present on the muscle cells within the walls of blood vessels and relaxes these muscle cells and widens blood vessels.
Some people may experience headache, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, weakness, flushing (reddening of the skin) or very fast, forceful or uneven heartbeat. Most of these side effects of Nicoduce 5 Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist, please consult your doctor.
Take Nicoduce 5 Tablet as prescribed by your doctor with or without food. You are advised to take Nicoduce 5 Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. Do not chew, break, or crush the medicine.
If you are allergic to Nicoduce 5 Tablet or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Nicoduce 5 Tablet is not recommended for children as the safety and effectiveness were not been established. It is advised to drive only if you are alert as Nicoduce 5 Tablet may cause dizziness or weakness. Avoid alcohol consumption with Nicoduce 5 Tablet as it may cause severely low blood pressure.
